Migration from RUNUO 2 to SUNUO

Postby Mika on Wed Dec 19, 2007 8:38 am

Hello, I have a stable running shard on RUNUO 2 SVN 158. Recently I said good bye to Windows and installed Linux on my pc. Since I don't know how to run RUNUO under Linux (I tried wine with no success), I'd like to use SUNUO. I followed the instructions and copied the bin and etc folders an all files in the SUONUO folder to my RUNUO folder, started run.sh and got a bunch of errors which I cannot post right now.
Is the actual release of SUNUO compatible with RUNUO 2? Who has already migrated his shard from RUNUO to SUNUO and can help me?

As far as I know it's not easy because actually SunUO is a fork from RunUO 1.1, migrating from RunUO 2.0 is a bit... masochist?
I guess you have to make a migration from yourself.

I wish to help you but I don't have a complete code to give it to you, hope some other member may help you. Anyway if you have a more specific problem I wish to help somehow.

And by the way, Merry Christmas to everybody and Happy new year.

BlueAngel is right. Automatic migration from RunUO 2 to SunUO is not possible unless somebody writes a converter.
