sunuo logo

Postby Naggie on Fri Aug 24, 2007 4:47 pm

Hi,
I was practising creating logos, and I came up with some potential SunUO logos (I noticed that there wasn't an official logo)
I won't be offended if no-one likes them or they are not used, just check them out! :)
I've made the main logo in SVG format.
Here they are:

The main SVG, rendered

Anyone like them?

Feel free to mess around with them!!

I used The GIMP / Potrace

Wow! I really like em. Excellent work! I like it so much I'm going to at least use one as the logo here on the forums. I don't have any authority to speak for the SunUO project as a whole but I figure I can use whatever I want on the forums :)

Very slick artwork, Nag. GIMP rocks! =)
I wish I was a wiz with graphics manipulation and modeling programs. It's funny, I'm right at home with a command line interface. But, give me a plethora of menus and buttons and I'm lost. =(
I thought GUIs were supposed to be simpler!

Thanks, buddy!
Yeah I know what you mean with CLIs, IMO they get the job done so much quicker, albeit with minimal multimedia capabilities.
I belive the GIMP can be run from the command line, in batch mode ;)

Cool, I like the colours.
There are 'jaggies' due to aliasing however - you can get rid of these by using the original image as an inverted layer mask, and coloring the mask to your desire.
Or, you could use an SVG editor such as Inkscape or Adobe illistrator, and edit the original SVG; avaliable via my first post.
